The passive Infrared(PIR) Sensor Occupancy by detecting the difference between heat emitted from the human body in motion and the background space.
The PIR sensors respond to change in the infrared background by turning lights ON when people enter a space being monitored, and OFF when the space is unoccupied. These sensors utilize a unique Fresnel len which divides the coverage area into zones, enhancing detection of small movement.
